Pequannock Mayor and Council
Endorse Melissa Florance-Lynch

This morning Pequannock Mayor Ryan Herd, Deputy Mayor Kyle
Russell, and Current Councilmen Dave Kohle and Rich Phelan (both
former Mayors) endorsed their colleague, Melissa Florance-Lynch,
for the open Morris County Freeholder seat vacated by Freeholder
Heather Darling.

All cited Melissa’s commitment to good government and her
history of making decisions based on the merits and not
politics.

“Serving with Melissa, we know first-hand how important it
is to Melissa that the right result be reached, not just the
political decision. Melissa has served our community with
integrity and dedication, qualities we know she will bring to
the Freeholder Board,” stated Mayor Herd.

Melissa Florance-Lynch has been on the Pequannock Council
for ten years and is serving her third term. Melissa served as
Deputy Mayor in 2011, 2012 and 2013. She served as Mayor in 2014
and 2017. She has been instrumental in creating and passing
budgets that resulted in average tax increases of less than one
percent per year. While doing this, she has also fought to
maintain programs and services in Pequannock.
