Perth Amboy Mayoral and City Council Candidates Pabon, Fonseca, and Frederick File their Nomination Petitions Today at Perth Amboy City Hall
Perth Amboy, NJ –The Perth Amboy Mayoral and Council race continues to be highly contested. August 31st 2020 is the deadline for candidates to file their nomination petitions for the November 3rd 2020 general election ballot.
Joel Pabon Sr. who is a sitting councilman, and former council president, alongside his running mates, Doris Fonseca and Terotha Frederick who are running for Council, are running together under the In It For YOU 2020 team, Luchando Por Ti slogan. They filed over 1,200 petitions together to the Perth Amboy City clerk today.
“I will always keep fighting for Perth Amboy,” said Mayoral Candidate Pabon. “The first 100 days of being mayor is going to be critical because we can no longer afford a City Administration neglecting the needs of the people. Will it be a lot of work? Absolutely! Our In It For YOU 2020 team will get the job done right and lead our City in a Positive Direction. I’m honored to be joined by Doris and Terotha as running mates and I know they will always look out for our community’s best interest.”
Both Fonseca and Frederick are eager to help make a difference in the City.
Doris Fonseca, a business professional, understands that the city needs a new approach to our underlying issues that are impacting the City Residents. “I want to help our city become a beacon of hope and positively impact our City’s growth, and show that when we work together, anything is possible,” Fonseca stated. “I fully support Joel Pabon for Mayor of Perth Amboy because he will not stop working hard for you.”
Terotha Frederick, a youth advocate, who is also lovingly known by our residents as “Tee” and “Coach Tee”, decided to join mayoral candidate Joel Pabon because the City needs a change we can count on. “I am running for council because I see that our youth and children need a voice to speak up for their needs. I’ve lived here long enough to see that we need change, and I hope to help our community be better and prosper. I support Joel Pabon for Mayor because he is the right person for the job.”
