Phillipsburg Republican Committee submits new candidate Randy Piazza, Jr. on the Republican Ballot for Phillipsburg Town Council

Randy Piazza

Phillipsburg, NJ – Thursday, August 30, 2019 – The Phillipsburg Republican Committee has unanimously endorsed Randy Piazza, Jr. to fill a vacancy on the Republican ticket for the race for Phillipsburg Town Council. As of Tuesday, August 27th, Rob Case, the primary candidate, has requested to be removed from the ballot after accepting a job in New York City. A father of four, Case also holds several local volunteering positions. We expect to see more from Rob Case in the future but welcome Randy to the ballot to round out a team of tested leadership that will work for Phillipsburg.

“I am excited to announce my candidacy for Town Council of the Town of Phillipsburg. I was planning to run as a candidate for the Board of Education, but withdrew my name for the opportunity to serve the Town, as my father did for 8 years. The chance to run with an experienced team such as Todd Tersigni and Harry Wyant makes sense right now for Phillipsburg. I look forward to seeing the day to day operations of the town be much more visible to the public. Improving residents’ quality of life is my number one priority,” said Piazza.

Piazza Jr. is a 1997 graduate of Phillipsburg High School and a graduate of William Paterson University. He is a 30+ year resident of Phillipsburg and has over 10 years of experience in budget finance. Randy was raised in Phillipsburg, where his parents still reside. Piazza is a homeowner, father and husband. His father Randy Piazza Sr. was a two term councilman. Piazza, Sr. is known for his Phillipsburg historical narrative development and has always been a voice of reason. Like father, like son, he will be committed to the betterment of Phillipsburg and uniting our community, rather than quarreling and creating unnecessary divisions.

Our candidates look forward to a positive campaign, meeting residents, and tackling challenges before us. Look for the rebranded slogan to read Tested Leadership that Works for Phillipsburg.
