FAN-PAC is a registered 501c-4 organization in New Jersey established to represent the interests of New Jersey’s voters and to advance these interests by advocating for policies, legislation and legislators that reflect FAN-PACs mission. This mission is to advocate for our children in family court matters while transforming the family court to understand and implement legislation that recognizes the critical importance of having both parents involved in the raising of their children. We intend to educate all stakeholders in the family court system about the role they play in the development of children whose parents separate and this impact on the individual family and all New Jersey’s children. FAN-PAC is also committed to inspire this generation of children to be the next great generation by ensuring their voices are heard in the family court.

“Our moral responsibility is not to stop the future, but to shape it…to channel our destiny in humane directions and to ease the trauma of transition.” ― Alvin Toffler

FAN-PAC addresses the merits of shared parenting, it’s importance for the children of today and the parents of tomorrow. This legislation will provide the courts with clear guidance and empower both parents to remain involved in the lives of their children. All participants agree that when minor children are involved there can be no tolerance for a litigant using access to a child as leverage in the family court. The best custody solutions are crafted by the parents themselves without involvement of the court. This legislation will reduce the conflict relating to physical custody creating an opportunity for children to grow and develop with meaningful access to both loving parents.

As a community we must come together to recognize the importance of ensuring every child is free to love and to be loved by both parents regardless of the structure of the family. Together we can make a difference.

We believe our family courts need to empower both parents to continue to provide the love, nurturing and guidance all children need. This is especially true when the family is in the emotional period during divorce or separation and becomes a 2-home dynamic.
