PLAINFIELD MAYORAL CANDIDATE REV TRACEY BROWN TO HOLD PRESS CONFERENCE ANNOUNCING RUNNING MATE FOR 4TH WARD COUNCIL SEAT

March 5, 2017

Former Plainfield Councilwoman At Large and Mayoral candidate, Reverend Tracey L. Brown will host a press conference Sunday March 5, 2017 to announce running mate and 4th Ward candidate, Terri Briggs in the wake of the growing concerns over the rash of violent killings that plagued the city in 2016, as well as a host of other quality of life issues currently facing the residents of Plainfield.

“I’m just a regular person trying to do my part to make a difference.  I’m not a politician and I don’t particularly care for them.  The violence has to stop and we need more discussion.  I believe I’m the person to facilitate that kind of dialogue.  We pay our taxes just like the rest of the city but our services do not reflect this.  The current legislative body will raise their voices during campaign season but are silent when we need them.  They are not for the people…” said Community activist Terri Briggs about her desire to run.

“The 4th Ward will no longer be the forgotten Ward.  We must renew, rebuild and restore pride and confidence in the 4th Ward again.  There are four wards in this town and our team will represent them all.” said Rev. Brown

“The current mayor is proposing to sell prized historic assets to set up bank accounts for children when they go to college but our people need help now.  This is nothing more than a campaign ploy.  We are losing too many of our young people to unnecessary violence and the current administration has failed to provide real time life changing strategies like jobs and mentoring… We want to restore Plainfield to its glory days for the sake of everyone in the community, not just a few.“ she further stated.

The press conference which will take place at 675 W. 4th Street in Plainfield, and will kick off at 3 pm on Sunday, March 5 .
