Planned Parenthood Action Fund of NJ To Host Pre-Debate Rally
Pressure builds on Lt. Gov. Guadagno to address women’s health
Wednesday October 18 at 5:30 p.m.
WAYNE, NJ — Planned Parenthood Action Fund of New Jersey (PPAFNJ) will hold a pre-debate rally a the Shea Center for Performing Arts at William Paterson Univeristy to show support for Phil Murphy, the true candidate for women’s health in this election. Supporters will underscore the difference between women’s rights and health supporter Murphy and his opponent Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno.

Guadagno has mostly been silent on women’s health issues — she has avoided the issue of what she will do to help women. She claims to be “pro-choice” — but she has stated that she would not restore the family planning funds slashed under Gov. Christie because Planned Parenthood provides safe and legal abortion care.
PPAFNJ supporters and women’s rights activists are hoping the rally will build the already mounting pressure on Guadagno to address the issue of restoring funding to essential health services for the women of New Jersey.
Murphy has been the only leader in this race on women’s health care, speaking out strongly on accessible birth control and sex education and ensuring that all-FDA approved methods of contraception remain accessible to New Jersey women with no out-of-pocket costs.
