Professional Firefighters Association of New Jersey Endorses Pallone

Long Branch, NJ- The Professional Firefighters Association of New Jersey (PFANJ) announced their endorsement of Congressman Frank Pallone today. The union, which represents thousands of New Jersey’s firefighters and first responders, endorsed Pallone in light of his longtime support for their members and said that he “stands for public safety.”

“I’m proud to receive the endorsement of the thousands of firefighters and first responders represented by the Professional Firefighters of New Jersey,” said Congressman Pallone. “These are the brave men and women we call when our neighbors and loved ones need help the most. I’m grateful for their work in our communities and honored to have their support.”

“The Professional Firefighters Association of New Jersey’s union firefighters, EMS, and support service members endorse candidates who support us and stand for public safety, including Frank Pallone for Congress in NJ-6,” wrote PFANJ in a statement.

Congressman Pallone has been a longtime champion of federal funding to ensure fire departments and personnel have the equipment and training they need. Today, Congressman Pallone is leading the fight to modernize 9-1-1 networks so first responders have access to real-time information. PFANJ represents over half of all professional firefighters in the state and more than 500 EMS professionals. It is affiliated with the 318,000 member International Association of Fire Fighters, and serves as a bargaining agent for firefighters, EMS, and support staff in most cases.
