Professional Firefighters Association of NJ Endorses Dan Benson for Mercer County Executive

Trenton, NJ – Today, the Professional Firefighters Association of NJ, has endorsed Dan Benson for Mercer County Executive.

“Firefighters risk their lives on a daily basis, so we know a public servant when we see one,” Steve McConlogue, Professional Firefighters Association of NJ, said. “Dan Benson is a fighter and champion for working families across the state and is someone who we can count on as an advocate when facing a tough issue.”

Professional Firefighters Association of NJ, 1st Vice President, Anthony Tarantino, also weighed in on the endorsement: “Proud to stand with Dan. Dan understands what firefighters in New Jersey have to deal with on a daily basis and always has stood by us to ensure we have what we need to keep the public safe and allow us to put food on the table for our families.”

“Public safety is important for all residents and we must protect those who protect us,” Assemblyman Dan Benson said. “Firefighters do more than just fight fires and we must continue to honor their service and get them the resources necessary to keep the public safe.”

The Professional Firefighters local affiliates range from small fire districts, to full time round-the-clock suburban fire and rescue agencies, to the state’s largest and busiest urban fire departments.
