Professionals for Effective Action Political Committee Announces Endorsements for Paterson Public Schools Board of Education
The Professionals for Effective Action Political Committee (PEAPC), the independent political action committee of the Paterson Education Association (PEA), today announced its endorsements for the open three-year Paterson Public Schools Board of Education seats.
Following a comprehensive screening process, the five-member committee, representing diverse positions, schools, and departments within the Paterson school district, voted to endorse the following candidates:
- Nakima Redmon
- Hector L. Nieves Jr.
- Kenneth Rosado
All potential candidates were mailed invitations to participate in the screening process. The committee was particularly impressed by candidates who demonstrated a deep understanding of the challenges facing Paterson public school employees amidst the current staff shortages, a genuine desire to improve the education for all students, and unwavering support for traditional union concerns.
The PEAPC ultimately chose to endorse candidates who expressed a commitment to collaborating with the PEA and the Paterson community. These individuals are dedicated to finding innovative solutions to improve the city’s schools and provide the best possible education for Paterson’s students.
The endorsements also offer an opportunity to build strong working relationships with new board commissioners while maintaining open communication with returning members.
The PEAPC is confident that these endorsed candidates possess the dedication necessary to serve effectively on the Paterson Public Schools board of education.
