Public Input Sought to Expand Engagement with Arts, Culture & History in Somerset County

Participants will have a Chance to Win a $50 gift card

SOMERVILLE, NJ – The Somerset County Cultural & Heritage Commission is asking for the public’s input to help increase engagement with the arts, history and cultural heritage in the county. Two options to provide feedback are available: a brief online survey, and a mapping tool to mark significant locations throughout Somerset County.

“I hope residents and visitors alike will participate in this initiative and tell us what they want to see more of in Somerset County. The survey and map will help us identify and share all the creative, cultural and historical resources that our county has to offer,” said Commissioner Melonie Marano, Cultural & Heritage liaison.  “This initiative is part of the Cultural & Heritage Commission’s Long-Range Plan, which will include strategies for expanding economic opportunities by establishing connections between our arts, historical and cultural assets with local resources, including businesses, communities and natural landmarks.

Input also will help inform the Commission about the public’s needs and desires for arts, cultural heritage, and history programs, services and initiatives.

The brief survey, which only takes two minutes to complete, can be found at: https://scculture.info/survey.

The interactive mapping tool can be found at:  https://scculture.info/MapIt.

Participants will have an opportunity to enter a raffle to win a $50 gift card to the Somerset County small business of your choice. (Raffle Official Rules)
