On Wednesday evening, February 13th the Union County Republican Committee gathered at the Gran Centurions in Clark for the annual Lincoln Day celebration. Festivities included the presentation of awards recognizing elected officials past and present and outstanding volunteers for their service.
In attendance were Assembly members Jon Bramnick of Westfield and Nancy Munoz of Summit; both seeking reelection representing the 21st Assembly District.

Also present was Patricia Quattrocchi, of Clark who is seeking a seat in the assembly representing District 22. The Union County towns of Clark, Fanwood, Linden, Plainfield, Rahway, Scotch Plains, and Winfield as well as two towns each in Somerset and Middlesex counties comprise the district. Now residing in Clark, her hometown, Ms Quattrocchi held the elected office of Mayor of the Borough of Garwood from 1/11 to 12/14. She was also the Union County Republican State Committeewoman, a Garwood councilwoman and UC Domestic Violence Crisis Intervention Team Leader.

Quattrocchi is looking forward to meeting residents of the 22nd District in the coming months to discuss educational issues, telecommunication and of course tax problems in New Jersey. She says that the current administration is out of control and not thinking of what the residents can afford when they endeavor the raise cash to support their programs. “The Rain Tax is an example of an outrageous plan that will have an unfair “drizzle down” effect draining the little guys pocketbooks” she says.
