RALLY TO SAY NO TO MILITARIZATION OF NJ SCHOOLS AND NO TO WAR ABROAD

WOMEN RESISTING WAR JOINS WITH NJ ANTI-WAR AGENDA TO PROTEST  AGAINST USA WAR ABROAD –$700 BILLION PENTAGON BUDGET  & WAR AT HOME –MILITARIZATION OF NJ SCHOOLS

NEWARK, NJ /LOMOLYNEUX/ Women Resisting War joins with NJ Anti-War Agenda for rally to protest $700 billion Pentagon budget and the militarization of NJ schools on Saturday, March 3 from 11:00 a.m.1:00 p.m. 465 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Newark, NJ 07102 (Martin Luther King Statue near Old Records Hall).

Our House and Senate just approved the largest ever Pentagon budget. A $700 billion budget. $700 billion to murder men, women, and children for oil and land and a $716 billion budget to do the same in 2019.

The AR-15 assault-style rifle that tragically murdered our children in Florida was designed to murder children in war.  Now they want to militarize our schools with police officers, sheriffs, and armed teachers, which will disproportionately impact Latinx and Black children.

We need to stop the cycle of murder.
No to war abroad. No to war at home on our children.
No to normalizing guns as the answer to solving any of our problems.
Repeal the Second Amendment. End all wars now.

Madelyn Hoffman -Peace Action, Diane Moxley -Green Party Union County, Teka Lark -Women Resisting War, Lisa Davis -People’s Organization for Progress, and other transnational feminists and womanists will be speaking.
