Ravi Bhalla Backs Medicare for All to Ensure All Americans Have Access to Quality Health Care

Ravi Bhalla today announced that in Congress he will actively support and co-sponsor Medicare for All legislation, ensuring all Americans have quality, affordable health care. More than 25 million Americans have no health insurance and millions more are underinsured.

“Too many of our residents cannot afford their health care premiums and deductibles or are uninsured in the first place, said Ravi Bhalla. “In Congress, I will be a strong advocate for Medicare for All. We must provide all Americans with high-quality, affordable health care, regardless of their income.”

Ravi noted that as he fights for this legislation, he will also back efforts to lower the Medicare eligibility age and expand Medicare to cover dental, vision and hearing care, as well as work to expand the list of drugs to which Medicare can negotiate prices, which will drive down the costs of prescription medication. He has proposed strengthening surprise medical billing protections, streamlining the appeals process, upping the penalties, and providing for public education to ensure that consumers do not keep getting hit with expensive out of network charges.

Ravi Bhalla is challenging Representative Rob Menendez Jr. in the June 4th Democratic Primary for New Jersey’s 8th Congressional district seat.
