RAZZOLI WELCOMES OLD BRIDGE SCHOOL BOARD PRESIDENT TO THE RACE; LOOKS FORWARD TO DEBATING THE SCHOOL CLOSINGS
Mark Razzoli, Old Bridge 4th Ward Councilman welcomed the Old Bridge School Board President to the council race today. School Board President Jill DeCaro, a Democrat, announced her candidacy for the 4th Ward Council seat held by Razzoli on Monday.
“This puts the issues of the Old Bridge school closings squarely in the middle of the council race,” said Razzoli. “I look forward to debating the school closings with Jill, and learning whether the closings were based on science or on politics.”
“I stand with Old Bridge parents and Old Bridge students who want to have the choice of in-person learning or remote learning.”
Republican Mark Razzoli is running for re-election to the 4th Ward council seat. A long-time union member, Razzoli is a retired Jersey City Police Detective, and a member of Jersey City Police POBA and New Jersey State FOP.
Razzoli stood with Old Bridge parents and students on January 30 when they protested the Old Bridge School District’s refusal to allow in-person learning. The district allowed only remote learning until it returned to a limited in-person learning schedule on February 22.
“Old Bridge voters can decide whether Jill’s refusal to re-open the schools was based on real science or political science. We can count the days until the NJEA’s donation to her council
race appears in her ELEC reports.”
