Schnoll: Re-elect Katie Cericola as Bergen YRs Chair

By Michael Schnoll, County Committeeman from Mahwah

I am urging every Young Republican in Bergen County to re-elect Katie Cericola as our Chairwoman. Over the past year of Katie’s leadership, the Republican Party in Bergen County has grown. Katie is a 25 year old accountant from Waldwick who ran for County Freeholder in 2019. Although we were unable to claim victory, Katie, who hosts “The Millennial Minute” podcast, received the most votes of the three GOP candidates and helped propel the Bergen GOP Freeholder candidates to having their most successful year since 2013. Katie Cericola has been very consistent in holding meetings just about every month. These gatherings throughout Bergen County are important for the growth of our party and this organization.

The YRs are the future of the Republican Party. In Bergen County, they play a vital role in candidate selection and recruiting, fundraising, and campaigning. The 2020 elections will be a critical turning point. With President Trump at the top of the ballot, a contentious race for Congress in NJ-5, and several competitive mayoral and council races, we need to continue moving forward with our path of success.

Katie Cericola is a rising star in Bergen County politics and has a very strong future ahead of her. Joining her on the ballot is another bright, rising star; Alyssa Dawson, who I am supporting for Secretary. Alyssa is a former Westwood Councilwoman who has served as Assemblywoman Holly Schepisi’s Chief of Staff for over a year. Additionally, Alyssa also ran with Katie for Freeholder last fall. I am curious to see what is in store for these two great people.

Join me in supporting Chairwoman Katie Cericola for re-election on Thursday, February 27 at 7:30 PM at the Bergen County Republican Organization Headquarters, 339 Main Street, Hackensack.
