RECOVERY CENTERS OF AMERICA AT LIGHTHOUSE RECOGNIZED BY TWO NEW JERSEY PUBLICATIONS FOR EXCELLENCE IN SUBSTANCE USE DISORDER CARE, INCLUDING:
WINNER OF NJBIZ 2021 BUSINESS OF THE YEAR 101+EMPLOYEES
and
THE PRESS OF ATLANTIC CITY’S “BEST OF THE PRESS”
BEST DRUG/ALCOHOL RECOVERY PROGRAM SINCE 2019
Mays Landing, NJ// December 15, 2021// In a year when overdose deaths in America have reached an unprecedented high, Recovery Centers of America’s facility in Mays Landing, known as Lighthouse, is clearly doing something right. In just the past month, they’ve been named Gold Winner BEST DRUG/ALCOHOL RECOVERY PROGRAM SINCE 2019 by The Press of Atlantic City and on Tuesday, December 14, the facility was recognized as the winner of the NJBIZ 2021 BUSINESS OF THE YEAR AWARDS, in the 101+ employees category.
Remarked Corey Richey, recently-appointed CEO of Lighthouse Richey, who joined RCA in 2016 and previously served as the Admission Director at Lighthouse and the interim CEO at Bracebridge Hall, “The NJBIZ 2021 Business of the Year awards virtual event was a wonderful boost to Lighthouse – a warm and welcome acknowledgment of the importance of our work and recognition of our success. We are excited and delighted that Lighthouse was a BUSINESS OF THE YEAR 2021 finalist in the 101+ employees category…that was a win in itself! To be the winner is truly heartwarming.” Broken out by size of company, RCA Lighthouse was chosen among five other finalists. The finalists and all winners as well as the event can be accessed here.
Dawn Belamarich, Corporate Senior Vice President of Clinical and Operational Excellence for RCA who served as CEO of RCA Lighthouse for the past two years and previously as Clinical Director and Executive Director at Lighthouse, has over 15 years of clinical and behavioral health experience and has been instrumental to the success of the Lighthouse facility. “Everyone connected to Lighthouse is tremendously proud of this recognition,” said Belamarich, “but the reality is that it is going to take a sustained and targeted community effort to support those addicted to opioids and other substances. The pandemic has created devastating chaos when it comes to substance abuse disorders. Alcohol use disorder is skyrocketing in adults over 50. People are trying to cope with loss of jobs, loss of loved ones, fear of treatment,
social isolation. And with the holidays, those difficulties are exacerbated. We are just glad and
hopeful that we at Lighthouse – and across the board at all RCA facilities – can be part of the solution.”
Said Richey about the current state of addiction and overdose deaths, “I wish I could say I’m surprised by the CDC’s just-released data that show more than 100,000 Americans died of drug overdoses in one year. When anxiety related to the pandemic is coupled with easy access to synthetic opioids like fentanyl in the heroin supply, the impact on those dealing with a substance use disorder can be disastrous. But it’s important that the public know that effective treatment is within reach. At Lighthouse, there are clinical and behavioral compassionate experts who are ready and anxious to help.”
The Recovery Centers of America at Lighthouse drug and alcohol treatment facility is located in Mays Landing, NJ. Patients suffering from an addiction to alcohol, heroin, fentanyl, cocaine, Xanax, methamphetamines, and other substances can call 1-800-Recovery and get help 24/7/365 with complimentary transportation provided in most cases.
