REDCOM Proud To Celebrate Groundbreaking Ceremony Of Housing Facility For At-Risk And Homeless Veterans
Westfield, NJ – REDCOM Design & Construction is proud to be in partnership with The Foundation for Sustainable Veteran Housing and the American Legion by hosting a ground breaking ceremony on a facility in Westfield, NJ, located at 1003 North Avenue W, Westfield, 07090, on Tuesday, January 14 at 11am.
In attendance at this noteworthy and patriotic event will be: John Rzeznik, Goo Goo Dolls, who will sing the national anthem; Shelley Brindle, Mayor of Westfield; Linda Habgood, Westfield Town Councilwoman; James Hely, Westfield Town Councilman; Charles “Andy” Jackson, NJ Department Commander of the American Legion as well as leadership from The American Legion Department of New Jersey Committee Chairman on Affordable Housing for Homeless and At-Risk Veterans, the Executive Director of the Foundation For Sustainable Veteran Housing, and leadership from REDCOM Design & Construction
On the political side, Craig Coughlin, the NJ Assembly Speaker of the House is expected to attend and offer remarks. J.D. Bryden, Deputy District Director, Office of Rep Tom Kean, Jr. will be in attendance and a representative from US Senator Cory Booker’s office will read a statement.
This building will house twenty-two at risk and homeless veterans. These facilities will be a new home for veterans complete with amenities, career services, mental health programs, and more to help at risk veterans sustain a more permanent lifestyle.

Starting in New Jersey the goal is to build a facility in all 21 counties over the next 5 to 10 years. We are currently working on facilities in 4 counties that will provide housing for 70 at-risk veterans. With an average of 20 units per facility, this can provide enough housing for all 442 current at-risk veterans in the state.
