Statement on NJ Transit Positive Train Control Certification

The following statement can be attributed to Tom Wright, President and CEO of Regional Plan Association:

“By certifying Positive Train Control, NJ Transit is making significant progress toward a safer transit system. This, along with its first ever-capital plan and recently published strategic plan, will help the State meet economic, equality, climate, mobility and public health goals – all which depend on a well-functioning transit system. We will keep advocating for funding NJ Transit needs to support the state’s essential workers and other New Jerseyians who rely on transit during these incredibly challenging times.”
