Rendo Announces Endorsement for McCann
Republican Mayor Carlos Rendo, the GOP’s candidate for Lieutenant Governor is set to announce his endorsement for John McCann for Congress in New Jersey’s Fifth Congressional District.
“I have gotten to know John and what he stands for and he is the only candidate with an actual record of putting the taxpayers first,” said Rendo. “I believe he is the right candidate to bring conservative values back to the Fifth District.”
The State PBA has acknowledged John as the “driving force” behind the police merger in Bergen County, saving the taxpayers an estimated $40 million. He received national recognition for playing a major role in killing the Clinton Healthcare Plan, saving not just the taxpayers of New Jersey, but saving Americans for 16 years from government controlled healthcare. In 1995, McCann was the first to introduce the 2% tax cap on property taxes.
“Having travelled the state, Carlos has gotten to know so many elected officials,” said McCann. “His endorsement means that he trusts that I will do what is right for our district and the State of New Jersey.”
Carlos Rendo, like many of the Mayors in our district, works hard every day for their communities.” Said McCann. “Mayor Rendo’s record in Woodcliff Lake is exemplary. He actually delivers.”
The announcement will be held at the Tice Center at 411 Chestnut Ridge Road, Woodcliff Lake, at 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 16.
