Rep. Sherrill Launches New Community Program “Valentines for Seniors”

Parsippany, NJ – Today, Representative Mikie Sherrill (NJ-11) announced the launch of the “Valentines for Seniors” program to collect Valentine notes of appreciation for NJ-11 seniors.

Residents are invited to mail or drop off Valentine’s Day cards for seniors at Representative Sherrill’s district office in Parsippany, starting today through Friday, February 10, 2022. Cards will be distributed at senior living homes throughout the district for Valentine’s Day. Cards submitted in envelopes should not be sealed or closed unless mailed to the district office.

“Over the past few years, my office and I have encouraged NJ-11 residents to take the time to show appreciation for members of our community––from veterans to healthcare providers–– with Valentine’s Day cards. The outpouring of love from people, especially young students, is always heartwarming,” said Rep. Sherrill. “This year, I am excited to launch ‘Valentines for Seniors’ to spread the love to our senior community in time for Valentine’s Day.”

This program is part of a series of community appreciation initiatives by Rep. Sherrill and her team, such as “Thanksgiving Thank-Yous for Veterans” which resulted in over 6,800 thank you notes delivered to veterans from the community last year and “2022 Heroes” celebrating the everyday heroes in NJ-11 that inspire us all.

Rep. Sherrill’s district office located at 8 Wood Hollow Road, Suite 203, Parsippany, NJ 07054.
