Republican Pallotta Calls for Unity in NJ-05 Race

MAHWAH — Today, Frank Pallotta, Republican candidate for New Jersey’s Fifth Congressional District, released the following statement in response to Murphy appointee and retired U.S. Army Brigadier General Mark A. Piterski’s announcement that he would join the race for the Fifth Congressional seat:

“General Piterski and I agree: our veterans have been treated disgracefully in this pandemic. The Murphy Administration was clearly caught flat-footed in protecting our care facilities, and our nation’s bravest have paid the ultimate price as a result. Meanwhile, Josh Gottheimer writes letters and press releases with no action. I would encourage General Piterski to look at my record, including designing a Time magazine-awarded program that helped keep veterans in their home during the financial crisis, and my broad support across several county organizations in seeking this seat. Together, we can take on Josh Gottheimer’s weak and ineffectual leadership in our district.”
