Inaugural Lincoln Reagan Breakfast set for Feb. 29th
The Hopewell Valley Republican Association and the Trenton Republicans will be hosting their Inaugural Lincoln Reagan Breakfast on Saturday, February 29 from 9 am to 11 am at the Pennington Fire House, 120 Broemel Place in Pennington, NJ. Tickets are $20 per person and $40 for a family of four; each additional child is $7. All proceeds above event costs and all additional donations will benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
This Inaugural event is part of a tradition of Republican organizations getting together to celebrate Presidents Abraham Lincoln and Ronald Reagan who were also Republicans themselves. However, through partnering together, The Hopewell Valley Republican Association and the Trenton Republicans wanted to use this event to bring Republicans and others together for a good cause. After learning about a local Hopewell Valley High School student, Hailey Addonizio, and her quest to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society for their Student of the Year Award – both organizations quickly agreed to support her efforts. Hailey is a young cancer survivor herself and she is a stalwart advocate in her work to support the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
The event has invited three speakers: Doug Steinhardt, Chair of the NJ Republican State Committee; Rosemary Becchi, President of Jersey First; and Jack Ciattarelli, former NJ Assemblyman. Miss Addonizio will also speak at this breakfast.
Kim Johnson, President of the Hopewell Valley Republican Association stated, “Fighting cancer serves us all. Partnering with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Students of the Year campaign serves those battling in the war on cancer.” Jennifer Williams, Chair of the Trenton Republicans, added that “We are so glad for this opportunity to bring people together for a great time, some dynamic speakers and to support a wonderful cause. My family lost my nephew Sean to this disease and we are inspired by Hailey’s hard work and everyone involved in this inaugural event.”
