Our Revolution-Monmouth, a grassroots political organization that promotes progressive values, has endorsed the candidacies of Kevin Scott (D) and Eliot Colon (D) for the Assembly in the 30th legislative district. The membership of the organization believes that the Scott/Colon campaign is generating a lot of excitement in the district where turnout will be key in this election.

Mr. Scott has strong, progressive positions on healthcare, gun control, gerrymandering, campaign finance reform, environmental protection/climate change and early childhood education. Our Revolution-Monmouth believes that Mr. Scott will bring a perspective that represents working families and those in our communities that are too often overlooked.

Mr. Colon will bring a very successful business background to the Assembly along with progressive positions on gun laws, the environment/climate change/carbon reduction, beach and waterway protection, state funding for open/green spaces, quality education and the opioid crisis. He is committed to property tax reform. Both candidates take a fiscally responsible approach to their positions.

Our Revolution-Monmouth is one of 450 affiliates of Our Revolution, which has a goal to reclaim democracy for the working people of our country by harnessing the transformative energy of the “political revolution.” Through supporting a new generation of progressive leaders, empowering millions to fight for progressive change and elevating the political consciousness, Our Revolution will transform American politics to make our political and economic systems once again responsive to the needs of working families.
