RICHARD WYATT TO HOLD FIRST PRESS CONFERENCE OF MAYORAL CAMPAIGN
PLAINFIELD – On November 2, 2020, lifelong Plainfield resident, community leader, and Board of Education member Richard A. Wyatt, Jr announced his candidacy for Mayor of the City of Plainfield. He will run in the city’s June Democratic Primary.
On the steps of his home, alongside his wife and young children, Wyatt detailed his vision of change for the Queen City. His platform is built around making decisions that benefit the current residents of Plainfield who have been forgotten for far too long.
“Through my leadership,” says Wyatt, “I will bridge the gaps and connect our community. I will represent the people of Plainfield and not the special interests.”
Now, Wyatt’s mayoral campaign kicks into high gear with its first press conference, which will take place on Monday, March 15, 2021 from 7-8pm. Due to the pandemic, it will be streamed via Zoom and Facebook Live.
During this press conference, Wyatt will re-introduce himself to the community – now as a mayoral candidate – and talk more about his plans for the future, as well as the help he’ll need from the community in the coming months to bring everything to fruition. “We need to remember who we are as a community”, says Wyatt, “and the power we have when we come together for common goals centered around all of our needs. From Terrill to Rock, block by block – the time is now!”
