River Center, the 501(c)(3) non-profit formed in 1991 to manage Red Bank’s Special Improvement District, enters exciting new chapter

River Center, the nonprofit force behind the Red Bank’s entertainment, shopping, and special events, excitedly welcomes a brand new team and some brand new ideas.

RED BANK, New Jersey— Red Bank River Center, straight off of another successful Oyster Festival, is proud to announce their new team.

The 501c3 nonprofit recently announced Glenn Carter as new Executive Director. Carter previously served as the Director for both the Planning and Zoning Boards of Red Bank. He replaces Laura Kirkpatrick, who left after an 18-month stint. Carter is extremely well-qualified, having previously served as Executive Director of the Passaic Enterprise Zone Development Corporation and as the Director of the Redevelopment Agency and Community Development. Carter excitedly brings his knowledge and community prowess to the River Center.

The organization also welcomes a new Marketing Director, Jamie Edelbach. Jamie brings more than ten years of special event and marketing experience, previously at Six Flags Great Adventure where she developed, coordinated and executed a multitude of special event experiences that increased value and drove attendance to the property. The Monmouth County native holds a B.A. in Communications and Music Industry from Monmouth University.

The River Center also welcomes Jess Alaimo as their new Operations Manager. Jess is a nonprofit professional and community organizer, previously founding the Asbury Park Women’s Convention. She performs standup comedy in her leisure time and was recently named one of the top 100 most influential LGBTQ+ people in the New Jersey by Jay Lassiter of Insider NJ. Jess is thrilled to utilize her background and experience in Red Bank.
