Rosemary Becchi Petition Filed Early for 11th District Congressional Seat

Voter Signature Collection Ended in Wake of Coronavirus

TRENTON – Rosemary Becchi filed her petition today with the New Jersey Division of Elections to run as a Congressional candidate in New Jersey’s 11th District, more than two weeks ahead of the March 30 filing deadline.

Rosemary stopped her campaign from collecting any additional voter signatures on her petition to avoid unnecessary face-to-face interactions between the general public and her campaign staff to reduce the risk of exposure to the coronavirus. The petition submitted by the campaign exceeded the number of signatures required by law to qualify for candidacy.

“I am humbled by the support I have received from the voters of the 11th District of New Jersey who signed my petition and I will be honored to represent them in the election in November.  I am proud of the work that my dedicated campaign staff and volunteers have put into filing my petition today,” Rosemary said. “Their hard work motivates me to work harder to have their voices heard in Washington on the timely issues of quality, affordable healthcare, supporting our local businesses and helping the families of New Jersey persevere through difficult times.  This current coronavirus pandemic is a reminder that the health and wellbeing of our citizens is paramount and that we need to work together in a nonpartisan way in times of adversity.”
