Ruiz to Participate in Gleaning Event

Trenton – Senate President Pro Tempore M. Teresa Ruiz is participating in a gleaning event tomorrow. She will be picking apples alongside students from Newark Central High School and volunteers from the greater Newark community.

The event, organized by Senator Ruiz, will be at Giamarese Farm & Orchards from 10:00am – 12:00pm, Friday October 18, at 155 Fresh Ponds Rd, East Brunswick.

The event is a kick-off to the Senator’s school nutrition package which she plans to introduce in the coming months.
