SACCO TEAM COLLECTS OVER 8,300 SIGNED NOMINATING PETITIONS

Massive Show of Support for Sacco Team in May Election

NORTH BERGEN, NJ – In another resounding testament to his unwavering support and popularity among North Bergen residents, Mayor Nick Sacco’s team collected over 8,300 signed nominating petitions for the upcoming May nonpartisan election. The Sacco Team officially filed petitions today with the North Bergen Township Clerk to secure a place on the ballot.

“I am once again humbled by the overwhelming support we’ve received from our incredible community,” said Mayor Sacco. “That we were able to gather so many petition signatures in such a short amount of time clearly demonstrates that the work we are doing is resonating with the residents of North Bergen. I am extremely grateful to all of the volunteers and supporters who helped make this accomplishment possible and I thank them all from the bottom of my heart.”

Over the course of three weeks, Sacco campaign supporters worked tirelessly to gather signatures from registered voters throughout North Bergen. Thanks to the hard work and dedication of the countless volunteers, the campaign far exceeded the number required to qualify for the ballot. Sacco was joined in the Commission Chambers at Township Hall to announce the total, along with his running mates and fellow incumbents Commissioners Hugo Cabrera and Allen Pascual, as well as the newest members of his team Anthony Vainieiri and Claudia Rodriguez. Commissioner Frank Gargiulo, who is serving as Campaign Manager for the Sacco Team, and Commissioner Julio Marenco who is running for State Assembly were also in attendance.
