Salem County Democrats Vote to Endorse Phil Murphy

Salem — Continuing his unbroken string of endorsements from locally elected, grassroots county committee members, Phil Murphy today won the backing of the Salem County Democratic Committee at their convention.

Murphy won the members’ support by a unanimous vote.

“After eight years of a governor who protected the elite, Salem County residents can look forward to having Phil Murphy as our next governor,” said Chairman Steve Caltabiano. “I am confident that, as governor, Phil will protect our vulnerable, grow our middle class, support our seniors and provide for a economy that will create quality jobs for our residents.”

Murphy will hold a Salem County town hall tomorrow night in Penns Grove.

“Too many politicians have looked past Salem County, but New Jersey will not succeed unless we focus on all 21 counties,” said Murphy. “Salem County’s working families need a governor who will not leave them behind, but who will be their partner in creating the new opportunities they need right here. I look forward to being that partner.”
