Salerno Bolsters Campaign Team,
Adds Van Drew Campaign Manager
Ned Miller Managed Van Drew’s 2018 Campaign and Will Serve as Advisor
Cape May, New Jersey – November 17, 2024 – Joe Salerno for Congress announced new additions to the campaign team that include Ned Miller, who managed Van Drew’s primary and general election congressional campaigns in 2018. He recently served as Senior Advisor and Director of Public Engagement to Maryland Governor Wes Moore. Prior to that, Miller was Governor Moore’s campaign manager during his successful 2022 campaign. He has joined the Salerno team as an Advisor for strategy and messaging.
Miller managed Van Drew’s campaign when he ran for congress as a Democrat. “Back in 2018, Jeff Van Drew was elected as a pro-choice moderate who would fight for South Jersey,” said Miller. “Today, Rep. Van Drew is an extremist who celebrated the fall of abortion rights and puts Donald Trump ahead of all else, especially his constituents. Joe Salerno is the opposite of Van Drew: He’s a principled leader who will vote to make Roe. v. Wade federal law, he’ll fight to lower taxes, and he’ll stand up to extremists on both sides of the aisle.”
“We know Ned has a lot of experience to share,” said Campaign Manager Simon Korn. “It will be great to have his organizational expertise to call on as we scale up our campaign team.” Other additions to the campaign team include finance consultant Rafi Jafri of Jafri Strategies, who led Governor Phil Murphy’s fundraising operation. These new additions come just after a recent campaign poll showed the race in a dead heat amid rising support for Salerno. In keeping with his rising momentum, Salerno secured the endorsements of both Senator Cory Booker and U.S. Senate Nominee Andy Kim in the past week.
