Salerno Campaign Secures Four New Congressional Endorsements

Members of Congress from New Jersey 1st, 5th, 6th and 8th Districts Rally Behind Joe Salerno in Heated Race

Cape May, New Jersey – Oct 7, 2024 – In a powerful show of unity, four Congressional members from New Jersey officially endorsed Joe Salerno in the 2nd District race. Representatives Donald Norcross (D, NJ-01), Josh Gottheimer (D, NJ-05), Rob Menendez (D, NJ-08), and Frank Pallone (D, NJ-06) joined in urging South Jersey voters to add Salerno to their ranks.

“Joe Salerno has a proven track record as a businessman and a lifelong love for South Jersey,” said Congressman Pallone, “he is the perfect candidate to take on the Republican extremists and build bipartisan support for real victories for the hard-working families of the 2nd district. I wholeheartedly endorse him and look forward to working towards getting his voice to DC.”

Menendez drew a stark contrast between Salerno and his opponent. “It’s really hard to know where Van Drew stands on the issues most important to the people he is supposed to represent. He’s changed positions on every major issue there is, not to mention his party affiliation. If Jeff doesn’t even know who he is, how can the voters know? Joe Salerno is the right person at the right moment to stand up for the 2nd District in Washington.”

A recent poll by the Salerno campaign showed the race was incredibly close, with Salerno gaining ground as his campaign builds momentum. Salerno also bolstered his campaign team by bringing on Van Drew’s former campaign manager as his senior advisor.
