Saturday Hours for Union County’s COVID-19 Test Center

Drive-through facility is available for Union County residents only with doctor’s prescription.

Union County, NJ – Union County’s COVID-19 Drive-Through Test Center at Kean University will be open on Saturday, March 28, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Regular weekday hours for the Test Center are Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Test Center is available on a drive-through basis only and is available only to residents of Union County with a doctor’s prescription. Testing is free.

The Test Center opened on Monday, March 23rd and the procedure has since been modified to speed up the operation.

“By streamlining the process and opening on Saturday, we can enable more Union County residents to obtain vital information about their condition as quickly as possible,” said Freeholder Chairman Alexander Mirabella. “I encourage anyone with symptoms to consult a doctor regarding use of the Test Center.”

Before visiting the Test Center, Union County residents must obtain a valid prescription for a COVID-19 test, and email a photo of the prescription to covid19test@ucnj.org.The email must include the resident’s name, gender, address, phone number, email address, and date of birth.

After sending the email, residents may proceed directly to the Test Center, located at Kean University on Morris Avenue in Union Township. There is no need to make an appointment.

For the protection and safety of personnel and volunteers at the Test Center, only residents in cars will be admitted to the Test Center. No walk-ins are permitted. As an additional resource, residents can check themselves for symptoms of COVID-19 by using an online tool provided by the New Jersey COVID-19 Information Hub at self.covid19.nj.gov.

The Union County Drive-Through Test Center is run by the County through a partnership with Overlook Medical Center, Trinitas Regional Medical Center, and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. The Freeholder Board, County Manager and his staff worked with State Senators Joseph P. Cryan, Nicholas P. Scutari, Governor Phil Murphy’s office, Kean University, and the New Jersey State Department of Health in bringing the facility online.

Horario de Sábado del Centro de Pruebas del COVID-19 en el Condado de Union

Condado de Union, NJ – El Centro de Pruebas del Condado de Union para  COVID-19 en  Kean University estará abierto el sábado 28 de marzo, de 9:00 a.m. a 2:00 p.m. Las horas regulares del Centro es de lunes a viernes de  9:00 a.m. a 5:00 p.m. Este Centro sólo se encuentra disponible para personas  residentes del Condado de Union que conduzcan su auto hacia las instalaciones, con una receta de su médico. La prueba es gratis.

El Centro de Pruebas abrió el lunes, 23 de marzo y el procedimiento ha sido modificado para acelar la operación.

“Para mover el proceso abriendo el sábado, podemos facilitar que más residentes del Condado de Union obtengan información vital sobre su condición lo más pronto posible,” dijo el Legislador Presidente Alexander Mirabella. “Yo animo aquellos residentes con síntomas que consulten su médico con respecto al uso del Centro de Pruebas.”

Antes de visitar el Centro de Pruebas, los residentes del Condado de Union, deben obtener una receta valida para la prueba del COVID-19 y enviar por correro electrónico la foto de la receta de su medico al covid19test@ucnj.org.Este debe incluir el nombre del residente, género, dirección, número de telefono, fecha de nacimiento y dirección electrónica.

Después de ser enviado, los residentes pueden dirigirse al Centro de Pruebas en  Kean University,en Union. No hay necesidad de hacer cita.

Para la protección y seguridad del personal y voluntarios en el Centro de Pruebas, solamente residentes en sus autos serán admitidos. Otro recurso que se encuentra disponible es que los residentes pueden comprobar los síntomas del  COVID-19 usando una herramienta que  proporcionada por New Jersey COVID-19 Information Hub a self.covid19.nj.gov.

El Centro de Pruebas es manejado por el Condado en conjunto con Overlook Medical Center, Trinitas Regional Medical Center, y Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. La Junta de Legisladores, el Administrador del Condado y su personal han trabajado con los Senadores Estatales Joseph P. Cryan, Nicholas P. Scutari, y la oficina del Gobernador, Kean University y el Departamento de Salud del Estado de New Jersey.
