SCDC ANNOUNCES RESIGNATION OF VICE CHAIR CLARK; THANKS HIM FOR HIS SERVICE

The Sussex County Democratic Committee has received, and Chairwoman Heath has accepted, Vice Chairman Neill Clark’s resignation as the County organization’s Vice Chairman. Vice Chairman Clark has been a close confidant and supporter of our organization since he became involved last June. His tireless efforts to bring accountability and good governance to our county has been and will continue to be a legacy our entire party and county can be proud of.

Vice Chairman Clark roared onto the political scene in Sussex County when he ran for and won his council seat in 2022, defeating partisan candidates funded by the Sussex and Sparta Republican Parties as well as multiple special interest entities, groups and corporations. Vice Chairman Clark, along with his running mates Dan Chiariello and Dean Blumetti, refused to back down in the face of these adversities and kept their focus on grassroots campaigning and listening to their constituency. This hard work and honest strategy paid off and delivered a landslide victory for Vice Chairman Clark and his soon to be fellow councilmen. This victory was not only one for Clark, Chiariello and Blumetti but also the citizens of Sparta whose voices were heard loud and clear.

While Chairwoman Heath and the SCDC are saddened to have Neill leave our leadership team, we are excited to see him continue his good work as the newly elected Mayor of Sparta Township! Mayor Clark has made it clear since his first days in office that his priority and focus will always be Sparta and its citizens. In order to avoid his focus from being split and to ensure there is no room for any conflicts, Mayor Clark will stay laser focused on his duties as Mayor of Sparta solely. The SCDC respects his decision and wishes him and his fellow council members Chiariello and Blumetti nothing but success and progress as they move Sparta further into a prosperous future!
