SEIU 32BJ ENDORSES JAMES SOLOMON FOR CITY COUNCIL 

 

32BJ Joins Growing List of Labor, Community Organizations and Local Leaders Backing Solomon’s Reelection 

 

JERSEY CITY, NJ – Today, In another sign of growing momentum, James Solomon received the backing today from SEIU 32BJ with a rally at Hamilton Park. The endorsement comes on the heels of Solomon’s dominating debate performance on Tuesday night. Councilman Solomon has also been endorsed by the Working Families Party, Hotel Trades Council, a slew of Jersey City small business owners, Harsimus Cove civic leaders, and Our Revolution NJ.

 

James Solomon said: “This election is about building a more affordable Jersey City and I am proud to fight alongside SEIU 32BJ to make that happen. The working families of Jersey City understand we can’t go back to a time when developers planned our city and as Council Member I have fought to make sure we have truly affordable housing, better and more schools, stronger ethics laws, and a more resilient downtown that is ready for the impacts of climate change.”

Solomon has been endorsed by 32BJ SEIU, Hotel Trades Council, NJ Working Families Party, Our Revolution New Jersey, downtown small business owners, and leaders in the Harismus Cove neighborhood. He has also put out policy proposals to increase affordability for Jersey City, and a sustainability plan to ensure Jersy City combats climate change.
