SEIU New Jersey State Council Endorses Sue Altman for Congress in the 7th Congressional District

Newark, NJ — Today, SEIU New Jersey State Council announces its endorsement of Sue Altman for the United States House of Representatives in the 7th Congressional district. Altman’s unwavering dedication and advocacy for working families and her steadfast commitment to education, healthcare, and labor, make the council confident of her ability to represent the people of New Jersey effectively.
“Sue Altman represents a new generation of leadership that is moving forward on critical policy, poised to challenge the status quo and champion progressive policies,” said Megan Chambers, President of the SEIU NJ State Council and Co-manager of the Laundry, Distribution, and Food Service (LDFS) Joint Board, Workers United SEIU.
“Her record speaks volumes—from her tireless advocacy for New Jersey workers and fair funding for public schools to her relentless push for a living wage and support for workers’ rights. Altman’s leadership extends to crucial issues such as gun reform, Medicare, and Social Security, where she stands as a fierce advocate for our communities.

The council includes 1199 SEIU Healthcare Workers East; Laundry, Distribution and Food Service Joint Board of Workers United; The Committee of Interns and Residents, and 32BJ Motor Vehicle Inspectors.
