EIU NJ State Council endorses Democratic Congressional Delegation

Committed to advancing working families‑centered candidates in 2026 Congressional endorsements

Newark – The SEIU NJ State Council endorses the New Jersey Democratic delegation in the upcoming November election.  The SEIU NJ State Council, representing over 20,000 essential workers in health care, warehouse distribution centers, industrial laundries, public services and related sectors, believes these are the leaders needed in Washington to present policies that lift up working families.

“We support candidates who strengthen protections for workers and their families, who defend economic justice, expand access to affordable healthcare, and advocate for the sensible and humane treatment of immigrant communities,” said Megan Chambers, President of the SEIU NJ State Council and Co-Manager of the Laundry Distribution and Food Service Joint Board of Workers United. “The State Council stands ready to work with the NJ Congressional delegation to build a future for workers rooted in economic fairness, solidarity, and shared progress.”

The SEIU NJ State Council is composed of unions representing service employees across the state, including health care, warehouse, laundry, and school cafeteria workers. Our diverse membership also includes motor vehicle inspectors, resident physicians, and municipal employees in Newark. The council includes 1199 SEIU Healthcare Workers East, Laundry, Distribution and Food Service Joint Board of Workers United; The Committee of Interns and Residents, and 32BJ Motor Vehicle Inspectors.
