A petition launched by New Jersey Senate Republicans urging Governor Murphy to let kids unmask at school, daycare, and summer camp has been signed more than 7,500 times since it was launched Friday.

‘Governor Phil Murphy continues to require New Jersey’s children to wear masks at school, daycare, and summer camp, even though children and adults can now unmask almost everywhere else.

Children who safely played sports all spring without masks will be forced to wear masks while playing outside at camp this summer, as will kids on playgrounds at daycare centers.

Governor Murphy has even said that students should expect to wear masks to school this fall, even though children face very little risk and every concerned adult will have had ample opportunity by then to get vaccinated.

Keeping mask requirements for children doesn’t make any sense!
