Senate to Hold Voting Session This Afternoon

 

Trenton – The Senate will be holding a voting session in-person today, June 3, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. to vote on a number of important bills.

 

The board list for tomorrow includes S-3866, sponsored by Senate President Steve Sweeney, which would terminate the public health emergency declared by the Governor to address COVID-19 pandemic.

 

Also on the board list is a package of bills that would provide $235 million in additional assistance to small businesses affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The bill package, S-3792 – S-3797, is sponsored by Senators Dawn Addiego, Vin Gopal, and Joseph Lagana.

 

Additionally, the Senate will consider two bills concerning special education. S-2160, sponsored by Senator Sweeney, would create a special education unit within the Office of Administrative Law. S-3434, sponsored by Senators Addiego and Sweeney, would require boards of education to increase the age in which students can receive special education and related services from 21 to 22.
