Senate to Honor LUPE, Latinas United for Political Empowerment

Trenton – A Ceremonial Resolution sponsored by Senator Nellie Pou, Senator M. Teresa Ruiz and Senator Nilsa Cruz- Perez, which honors the work of the Latinas United for Political Empowerment (LUPE) organization, will be presented on the Senate floor tomorrow, March 14, 2019 at 2:00 pm.

LUPE is an organization whose mission is to Educate, Empower, and Engage Latinas to Promote Leadership and Civic Engagement. Their goal is to promote an increase of Latinas in civic leadership locally as well as statewide and to collaborate with other women’s and children’s organizations on issues of common interest such as health and education in order to advance the Latino community.
