Senate Judiciary Committee to Consider Reappointment of Supreme Court Associate Justice Fernandez-Vina
The Committee Will Also Hear Testimony on the Implementation of Cannabis Legalization
Trenton – The Senate Judiciary Committee will meet tomorrow to consider the reappointment of Associate Justice Faustino J. Fernandez-Vina to a lifetime term on the New Jersey Supreme Court. The meeting will be held in-person on Thursday, October 22, 2020 at 12:00 PM in Committee Room 6, 1st Floor, State House Annex, Trenton, New Jersey.
The Senate Judiciary Committee will also receive public testimony concerning the legislative implementation of Public Question No. 1 on the 2020 General Election Ballot, which, if approved, would legalize cannabis for personal, non-medical use by adults age 21 or older. The hearing will take place at 9:30 AM in Committee Room 4, 1st Floor, State House Annex, Trenton, New Jersey.
Additionally, the Senate Budget and Appropriations Committee will meet at 1:00 PM in Committee Room 4. Its agenda includes S-624, which would restore tax exemption for nonprofit hospitals and establish the Nonprofit Hospital Community Service Contribution Study Commission.
