TRENTON – Senate President Nick Scutari issued the following statement in response to Governor Phil Murphy’s 2025 State of the State address:

“I look forward to working with the Governor to build upon the progress we have made in making the lives of New Jersey’s residents more affordable and improving the quality of life in communities throughout the state.

“We need to maintain our commitment to job creation, public safety, affordable housing, educational excellence, strategic investments that promote economic growth, and services that care for the most vulnerable. We also have to continue to be a national leader in protecting a woman’s right to choose.

“I will keep an open mind on the Governor’s proposals and work with my legislative colleagues to address the needs and priorities of the people of New Jersey.”
