Senate to Return to In-House Voting Monday, June 29

Trenton – For the first time since the state of emergency restricted gatherings to groups of ten, the New Jersey Senate will return for an in-house voting session June 29 at 1 p.m.

 

Bills to be considered include appropriations for the three month extension of FY 2020; the designation of June 19, known as Juneteenth Day, as a state and public holiday; and a requirement for law enforcement agencies to provide the personnel files of law enforcement officers to other agencies during the hiring process.

 

Note: No members of the general public will be allowed due to the public health emergency, although a video livestream of the session can be found here

Press will not have access to the chamber, but will be allowed to utilize room 103 and the lobby outside the chamber. Members of the press should notify a member of the communications staff if they wish to speak to a particular member. They must wear a facemask and get a temperature check.
