Senator-select Colin Bell Endorsed by JNESO

Health care workers back Bell in battleground 2nd District

(Northfield, NJ) — The healthcare professionals organization has backed Democrat Colin Bell in his campaign for the State Senate seat in New Jersey’s 2nd Legislative District.

“As healthcare continues to evolve, we need leaders who will fight for us and work alongside us to preserve and improve the quality of care in our state,” said Douglas Placa, Executive Director of JNESO, in a letter announcing the endorsement. “We are confident that your commitment to healthcare workers will spark the appropriate policy discussions and legislative actions in Trenton.”

JNESO represents over 5,000 professional health care workers in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. It’s membership includes hospital and clinical workers, including nurses, LPNs and most licensed technical employees.

“Thank you so much to JNESO for your support,” said Senator-select Bell. “At a time when our healthcare is under constant attack, it has never been more important to stand with the men and women who have dedicated their careers to keeping our families healthy and safe. As state senator, I will fight back against efforts to roll back access to coverage to make sure every Atlantic County family has access to affordable care. And I will stand with our healthcare professionals to ensure safe conditions, responsible staffing, and the support they deserve.”

Bell was also endorsed by the Health Professionals & Allied Employees of New Jersey (HPAE) earlier this fall.
