SENATOR TROY SINGLETON TO HONOR MOTHER NATURE WITH CLEAN-UP DAY AT MOORESTOWN’S STRAWBRIDGE LAKE
MOORESTOWN, NJ – In honor of Earth Day this month, State Senator Troy Singleton will partner with the Strawbridge Lake Beautification Committee to host a clean-up day at the lake, which will help to preserve and enhance the local treasure.
With the help of the Strawbridge Lake Beautification Committee, the Senator and volunteers will pick-up trash and twigs in the open spaces and park around the lake. The event will begin at 10 a.m. Anyone interested in volunteering can sign-up on the Senator’s website: http://www.senatorsingleton.com/strawbridge_lake_clean_up_day
“It is an honor to partner with the Strawbridge Lake Beautification Committee for our April service event,” said Singleton, who represents Moorestown as part of the 7th Legislative District. “Not only are we volunteering our time and being of service to a worthwhile group, but we are doing our part to ensure that the natural resources here in Moorestown remain beautiful and pristine.”
The Strawbridge Lake Beautification Committee consists of a group of Moorestown residents whose mission is to restore Strawbridge Lake Park to pristine condition. Working with Moorestown’s Environmental Advisory Committee, they have adopted a stretch of the lake to clean, restore and maintain and they host various community work days to help accomplish that goal.
This is Senator Singleton’s 4th “Serve with Singleton” event since he became a State Senator in January 2018. Previous efforts included: renovation of the Habitat for Humanity Re-Store, a clean-up day at Jacob’s Chapel Ministry Center, and the painting of two Community Options homes.
