Senator Vitale to Lead Walkout in Solidarity With Ford, Ramirez, and All Sexual Assault Survivors

Govenor Phil Murphy will privately sign a bill, fought for by Senator Joe Vitale for nearly 20 years, expanding the rights of sexual abuse victims. Vitale plans to hold a public ceremony to celebrate this landmark legislation.

Senator Vitale to Lead Walkout in Solidarity With Ford, Ramirez, and All Sexual Assault Survivors

 

TRENTON – At 1:00 PM today, Senate Health Committee Chair Joe Vitale will be leading a walkout as part of the nationwide walkout in support of Christine Blasey Ford and Deborah Ramirez, the two women who have accused U.S. Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh,, and all survivors of sexual assault.

Senator Vitale (D-Middlesex) will hold a press conference in the courtyard of the Statehouse Annex on the issue.
