Service Academy Fair Set For June 16 in Branchburg

Annual Lance event draws dozens of interested high school students

FLEMINGTON, N.J. – Congressman Leonard Lance (NJ-07) today announced he will hold his annual Service Academy Information Fair for Seventh Congressional District high school students on Saturday, June 16 at Raritan Valley Community College.  Lance’s annual event allows students to meet with academy officials to learn more about the admissions process and how to pursue their interests in serving the Nation.

“One of the most rewarding parts of the job of serving in Congress is shaking the hands of the young men and women who step forward to serve their country and ask for appointment to one of our Nation’s service academies.  I look forward to the Service Academy Information Fair every year and meeting the talented and poised young leaders from our district.  I encourage all interested high school students to attend and meet and talk directly with service academy admissions representatives.  This Fair is so all students and parents can have their questions answered and gain an understanding of the competitive application process.  I am eager to meet the next class of applicants,” said Lance.
