Shelley Adler Endorses Mike Bloomberg For President
Shelley Adler says Mike Bloomberg will “unite our country and get the job done”
TRENTON, NJ – Today, Shelley Adler, former Cherry Hill Councilwoman, 2012 Deomocratic nominee for Congress (NJ-03), and wife of former Congressman John Adler, endorsed Democratic presidential candidate Mike Bloomberg. In her endorsement of Mike, Shelley cited Mike’s proven record on gun violence, climate change and health care.
“We must nominate a candidate who can beat Donald Trump because our nation’s most dangerous threat resides in the White House. The candidate best positioned to defeat Donald Trump is Mike Bloomberg. We need Mike’s unique set of experiences to fix our broken government, hit the ground running, unite our country, and get the job done. We also need to nominate someone who will stand up to Donald Trump. I’m proud to endorse Mike Bloomberg for president because Mike shares our values with a proven record on gun violence, climate change and health care. And he, like me, will not tolerate another 4 years of President Trump,” said Shelley Adler, former Cherry Hill Councilwoman and 2012 Democratic nominee for Congress (NJ-03).
Shelley Adler, a Harvard Law Graduate, was a practicing lawyer for nearly a decade, balancing work while she and John raised their 4 sons. Always committed to public service, Shelly volunteered for local charities, served as PTA president, and won election to the Cherry Hill Township Council.
Shelley Adler joins a broad coalition of elected officials supporting Mike Bloomberg including two members of Congress from New Jersey, Rep. Mikie Sherrill and Rep. Josh Gottheimer.
“We are honored to have Shelley Adler on Mike’s team, she is a true friend, a respected voice in South Jersey and well known for standing up for what is right. Shelley has honor, integrity and a moral compass that will energize Mike’s growing South Jersey support,” said Michael Muller, the New Jersey State Director for Mike Bloomberg 2020.
The Bloomberg campaign continues to build its organization across New Jersey and is actively engaging voters across the state. Additional office locations, endorsements, and co-chairs to be named in the coming weeks.
