Sheriff Anthony Cureton’s First Annual Coat Drive is a Success

Hackensack, N.J. – Sheriff Anthony Cureton and the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office successfully collected coats and other winter items during the “Coffee with the Sheriff” First Annual Coat Drive. The items were collected to benefit the homeless and veteran populations of Bergen County.

The Bergen County Community has been very generous with nearly two hundred coats collected. In the past 2 weeks, the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office has distributed dozens of clothing items to local religions organizations, non-profits and residents.

“BCSO recognizes during this time of COVID-19 more people in our community are in need. The donated items collected from our supportive community have been well received and further help us to bridge the gap between law enforcement and the community,” said Sheriff Anthony Cureton.

The Bergen County Sheriff’s Office will continue collaborating with our county partners and local community to distribute the collected clothing through the Community Outreach Unit.
