Sheriff’s Office Hosts Annual Thanksgiving Turkey Drive

BERGEN COUNTY, N.J. – On Friday, the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office hosted the 2019 BCSO Annual Thanksgiving Turkey Drive to benefit local food pantries and families in need. For the last fourteen years, Bergen County PBA 134 and the BCSO Community Outreach Unit have worked together with community partners including Inserra Supermarkets and the Center for Food Action to collect and distribute frozen turkeys. Nearly 1200 turkeys are currently in the process of being dispersed throughout Bergen County to help brighten the holiday season for those less fortunate.

“Thanksgiving is not only a time to reflect on what we are thankful for but it is also a time to give back. In that spirit, I tip my hat to the men and women of the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office for their outstanding efforts over the last fourteen years leading this turkey drive and I thank our community partners for their continued generosity, affording us the ability to reach more families each and every year.”
