Sherrill Co-Sponsors H.R. 1

Parsippany, NJ — Congresswoman Mikie Sherrill announced this morning her co-sponsorship of H.R. 1, a landmark bill to improve access to the ballot box, strengthen cybersecurity in elections and ethics rules, and improve campaign finance disclosures.

“I am joining this good faith effort to strengthen our democracy by co-sponsoring H.R. 1, the For the People Act,” said Congresswoman Sherrill. “From improving voting infrastructure in New Jersey, to making it easier to cast a ballot and increasing disclosure of campaign donations, H.R. 1 addresses many concerns I hear from residents in our community regarding transparency and accountability in our national elections. I support moving this legislation forward, and will work to improve the bill further with my colleagues as it makes its way through Congress.”
